EVEN IF the "farang part" of Chan Tha more or less consists of Norwegians and Swedes, we want to keep the website open to the Italians, English, Danish, Americans - or other that may move into our society. The previously announced change from English to Scandinavian language will therefore not take place.
Never the less, some parts - the one vital for each members own update, will be in multiple languages -depending on the country setting for the registered member.

Sad start of Summer Holiday If you own a house in Chan Tha and have not joined the House Owner Association - it is really time to re-think your decission. Burglaries and thieves has arrived. My close friends house in Chan Tha was emtied for all electronics within the last 7 weeks. WE NEED SECURITY - WE NEED TO UNITE. We need to organize the services for the house owner community so our properties, houses, assets and investments 10,000 kilometers from home is kept safe between our visits. GO TO THE CONTACT FORM - say YES, I will join as a member - and let us start talking about how we can start making Chan Tha a SAFE place to be. Cool season Passing new year and heading into 2006 there has been weeks of cool weather and low temperature. Time for beach, time for evenings outside at the terrace - better air, a little windy sometimes. Come on folks - this is a really good time of the year to visit... Thai Christmas In Hua Hin and Chan Tha the Christmas was celebrated both in private homes and at the hotels. Our source at #161, Erik Berg reported many citizens present this year. Hotels in the city offered special Christmas services. November Rainseason hit Hua Hin pretty bad this year, as the streets were filled with water. No problems at Chan Tha, most properties had noe water problems at all. October Park Clean Up has started. Leo brought some of his workers into the park to start the huge work of cleaning up the jungle and make everything look like a park. Good help from Peter who brought in motorized help with his JCB tractor. September Rainy days: It's rain season in Thailand. The pool under construction at lot 181 is trying very hard to become a real pool, yet it is still not finished. Leo has been taking a lot of photos to the Chan Tha photo gallery - and for weeks most of the photos show a gray sky - and wet weather. August High activity: Peter runs a very tigth schedule these days. Real Estate Hua Hin Cha Am Co. is constantly hunting for more construction workers. Some of the properties are finished and a lot of the householders spent their summer holiday of 2005 on the site.

Welcome to Chan Tha Village You have reached the Chan Tha Village website, launched on August 1st 2005. The initiative was taken by Ratanaporn & Henning Jakobsen (Norway), trigged by pure enthusiasm connected to our (now finished) summer house on property #181 in Chan Tha Village. Later, Henning has been working in the interime board and now in the elected board of the Chan Tha Home Owner Association (CTHOA) - and currently this web site is dedicated to this association. The "Chan Tha Community" is a growing society consisting of people from Europe and Thailand - and in particular from the Nordic countries Norway and Sweden. Chan Tha is located about 7 kilometer north of Hua Hin city center, in the west part of central Thailand. Totally we have close to 200 properties. You may find some useful info at this site - most of it meant for the land- and house owners and some for web guests that surfed our way...
